This team is dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of software products through comprehensive testing strategies and frameworks. The mission of the team is to integrate robust testing practices into the software development lifecycle, ensuring that features meet both functional and non-functional quality standards, thereby contributing to a seamless user experience.You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager, who is committed to providing learning opportunities and challenges for every engineer within the team. The manager believes in supporting team members to set them up for success, encouraging cooperation and knowledge sharing across projects. The work setup for this role is hybrid, requiring the candidate to be in the office a minimum of two days a week, while offering flexibility for remote work based on the company's policy.This role does not require any travel. The primary focus will be on working from the San Jose office for at least two days a week, allowing the candidate to engage closely with the team and contribute effectively to ongoing projects without additional travel obligations.Your Role

Develop and contribute to test frameworks and automation processes to ensure high-quality testing.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate API and UI workflows, promoting seamless functionality.

Mentor and guide junior engineers in testing methodologies, fostering their professional growth.

Debug and troubleshoot issues in distributed systems, providing expertise to identify root causes.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing hands-on involvement with oversight of team members.

Participate in the continuous improvement of testing processes and automation tools to enhance efficiency.

Engage in collaborative learning opportunities to strengthen team dynamics and promote knowledge sharing.

Achieve successful integration of new API infrastructure and transition from legacy systems within the first year.

What You Will Bring

Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering with strong coding skills in Python, Java, or Golang.

Proficiency in test framework development and test automation processes.

Thorough understanding of the entire testing life cycle and experience with distributed systems.

Debugging and troubleshooting skills, particularly in a distributed systems environment.

Experience with load simulation and client simulation techniques.

Familiarity with UI automation workflows using Selenium.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong communication skills and capability to mentor junior engineers.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD 148,000 and USD 296,400 per year.However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
