- Ability to assess downstream impacts of data load failures
- Can analyze data quality issues to determine root cause and propose a solution
- Knowledge of data architecture and ability to design relational tables and star schemas
- Understanding of data privacy concerns such as PII, HIPA and GDPR
- 5+ years SQL scripting with advanced SQL skills including DML
- Minimum of 1 year experience with Google Cloud Platform BigQuery database
- 3+ years database and/or data pipeline development experience
- Experience with Google Cloud Data Fusion ETL tool preferred
- Experience with sFTP, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Trello, and Freshdesk tools a plus
- Perform data discovery on new sources data being brought into data warehouse
- Designing and creating new views and tables in BigQuery
- Create data dictionaries and other documentation
- Troubleshoot data related issues in Tableau reports
- Find and resolve data quality problems
- Writing SQL Queries (most important)
- Data Denormalization
- joins (inner, left, right, full outer)

- Data Summarization
- SQL aggregate functions (count, sum, average, min, max)
- SQL window functions (rownumber, firstvalue, rank, min, max - over partition by)

- Case statements (case when then else end)
- date manipulation (datetrunc, dateadd, timezone conversion)
- Data Manipulation
- DML statements (insert/update/delete)
- downloading data extracts to flat file / excel / google sheets
- creating table from google sheet
- creating table from file import
- Creating tables / views
- DDL statements (create table as, create or replace view)
- understanding of partitioned tables
- understanding of metadata tables and labels in BigQuery
