Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in San Leandro, California. You will primarily be involved in Capital Asset Accounting duties, including the management and analysis of the company's assets. This role involves tasks such as acquisition, depreciation, revaluation, disposition, and impairment of company assets. You will also be required to prepare standard and ad hoc reports, and develop, update, and implement policies and procedures pertaining to Fixed Asset areas.Responsibilities:· Maintain all aspects of fixed asset accounting and reporting, including processing invoices, recording disposals, posting depreciation, and reconciling the ledger. Understand how new accounting standards may impact capitalization policy. · Review and reconcile monthly fleet activity.· Assist in the preparation of the yearly fixed asset budget. Partner closely with internal business units to review capital expenditure activity and provide variance analysis.· Support month end, quarterly, and year end close activities.· Fixed Assets Physical Inventory Process· Participate in the financial audit and preparation of audit schedules.· Help prepare quarterly board of director presentations.Requirements Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:· Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.· 3-5 Years of experience as an accountant, preferably in consumer goods. · Advanced in Microsoft Excel – highly efficient, lookup and reference functions, if statements, and data importing. Knowledge of SAP preferred and Adaptive a plus.· Strong communication and analytical skills.· Knowledge of GAAP fixed asset capitalization rules.· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. · Exceptional organization, prioritization, attention to detail, multi-tasking and time management skills.· Positive attitude, highly professional demeanor, and a team player.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
