Description Robert Half is offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in Santa Barbara, California, for an Accounting Assistant position. This role is essential in providing accounting and administrative support within the property services industry, managing financial transactions and reconciling financial records across multiple databases. Key responsibilities: Provide general accounting and administration support Maintain and reconcile financial records in multiple databases Conduct high volume bank reconciliations for multiple accounts Assist with quarterly and year-end reporting Process semi-monthly payroll for multiple companies using payroll service, verifying the accuracy of payroll reports, and maintaining payroll records Prepare various workers' compensation reports and verify the accuracy of the policies Learn and understand procedures and policies and apply this knowledge to various scenarios Use Microsoft Excel to organize business data efficiently Manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure to meet deadlines Work cooperatively with others, demonstrating professional communication skillsRequirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites Understanding of Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Billing Functions Experience of handling Cash Activity Detail-oriented and well-organized.
