Payroll Assistant

Description We are seeking a Payroll Assistant based in Santa Barbara, California. In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for managing payroll procedures. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity with the flexibility to work on hybrid basis.Responsibilities Manage and process payroll using the Paylocity platform. Deliver timely payroll reports and ensure all records are accurate. Provide necessary payroll training as required. Handle and resolve any payroll-related inquiries from employees. Monitor and manage employee records to ensure they are up-to-date. Ensure compliance with payroll procedures and regulations. Collaborate with team members for efficient payroll operations. Ensure confidentiality and integrity of payroll data. Provide payroll support during team member absences. Participate in scheduled training sessions.Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a payroll role Familiarity with Paylocity - Payroll software is essential Experience in handling bi-Monthly Payroll Should demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Strong attention to detail required Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills, both written and verbal.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
