La Cumbre Country Club is looking to hire a Restaurant Floor Manager.

This leadership position is responsible for assisting in the smooth functioning of service for the clubhouse dining rooms, pool bar and grill and assisting with other outlets when necessary. Guides a team of skilled food and beverage team members, leading the staff in providing premium club service to our members and their guests. Leads consistent, best in class, service training and development. Works cohesively with other food and beverage managers and chefs to ensure a seamless member experience. Works effectively in a quality assurance environment that embraces input to formulate process development and elevate standards. Exhibits a passion for excellence. Leads by example, acts as a role model for others and will exhibit the highest levels of professionalism in all management practices.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Directly supervises waitstaff in the clubhouse dining areas and pool bar and grill. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the LCCC policies and applicable by-laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.

Exhibit a “hands on” approach to training, developing, and working alongside team members providing direction, support, and communication to LCCC service standards and ensure compliance through constant observations.

Provide direction, support and communication to food and beverage team members to ensure complete member satisfaction and attention to detail

Observe daily conditions of all physical facilities, equipment, and furniture; make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.

Control usage of all food and beverage items and appropriate usage of equipment, tools, and service equipment.

Assist in scheduling outlets at levels to properly service members and their guests.

Guide food presentation, service, and member relations standards.

Comply with all LCCC policies as noted in Employee Handbook.

Follow labor regulations and daily work assignments

Thorough menu knowledge and communication to servers, members, and guests

Monitor pace and table service detail

Touch each table during dining to ensure member/guest happiness

Lead shift line ups and pre-shift meetings

Adhere to and enforce uniform and grooming standards

Thorough conversational knowledge of Club activities, events and dining

Communicate relevant information to the department, your supervisor and across departments, as appropriate.

Comply with safe working practices, Health and Safety policy and ensure accidents/defects are reported immediately.

Physical Requirements

Must have the ability to: Read and write (English)

Communicate verbally with staff members and/or club members with or without the use of two-way radios.

Give and/or follow verbal and written instructions

Supervise subordinates

Visually inspect all work areas

Operate equipment for several hours at a time

Perform mathematical calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages

Retrieve, read and interpret information from technical sources

Stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time

Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly

Experience:

2+ years of work experience in dining service

3+ year of experience leadership is preferred

Exposure to dining room operations and kitchen operations is preferred (Experienced in both front of the house and back of the house operations).

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

Ability to motivate and energize teams.

Ability to effectively navigate difficult conversations.

Ability to effectively interact with staff and residents in order to positively influence staff retention and resident satisfaction.

Effectively assists in sourcing, interviewing, training, onboarding, and retention of staff. Build the bench of qualified staff in order to minimize disruption of service related to fluctuations in staff.
