Joe's Cafe is seeking reliable and professional Security to join our team. As Security at Joe's, you will be in charge of overseeing the security operations at the entrance, ensuring the safety of both patrons and staff while providing top-notch customer service. You will monitor guest behavior, enforce safety policies, properly check ID's, manage bar / restaurant occupancy, and handle any security-related incidents that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
-Ensure smooth and efficient operation at the door.
-Greet and welcome guests, creating a positive first impression while maintaining a secure environment.
-Check IDs to verify legal drinking age and enforce entry policies (dress code, behavior, etc.).
-Monitor guests for signs of intoxication or disruptive behavior and take appropriate action.
-Oversee crowd control and manage guest flow during peak hours to ensure safety and order.
-Handle difficult situations with diplomacy and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
-Enforce venue rules and local laws, including capacity limits, noise ordinances, and alcohol regulations.
-Maintain communication with bar staff and management to address security concerns promptly.
-Respond quickly and effectively to any incidents or emergencies, ensuring the safety of patrons and staff.
-Assist in training and mentoring new security staff.
-Report any issues or incidents to management, providing detailed and accurate documentation.
Previous security experience preferred.
Shifts: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Must be able available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be at least 21 years of age
Pay: $20 per hour
