Job Description

Your Career

We are seeking a contractor to join the Product Security team. The Product Security team works with all Palo Alto Networks product engineering teams to provide assistance and guidance on how to secure our products. This is achieved through automated scanning, providing remediation guidance, and creating reference implementations that are used to make our products secure by default. We also implement internal tooling automation to enable collaboration with external teams at scale. We are seeking candidates interested in any one, or more, of these areas.

  • Work on internal automation development

  • Analyze and categorize security scan results

  • Participate in product security architecture discussions

  • Translate defined security standards and policies into hardened configurations

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Depending on your specific areas of interest, experience with one or more of the following is required

  • Working towards a Computer Science or related degree

  • Experience in software development on the Linux platform in several languages

  • Familiarity with firewalls and their capabilities

  • Familiarity with authentication and authorization systems, network protocols (e.g. TLS)

Additional Information

Requirements – To apply, you must be pursuing a 4-year Undergraduate Degree, a 2-year Master’s Degree or a Doctorate degree and returning to school in the fall. You must have the authorization to work within the United States.

The InfoSec team is responsible for architecting, designing and deploying security solutions using Palo Alto Networks platform components and third-party tools to mitigate threats, monitor corporate systems, and conduct incident response.
