Description We are looking for a Sr. Accountant to join our team. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in Santa Clara, California. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including inventory and cash reconciliations, sales and use tax accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and knowledge of various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP will be essential for this role.Responsibilities: Preparing inventory and cash reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting Assisting with sales and use tax accounting to comply with tax regulations Utilizing Microsoft 365 for various accounting tasks and reporting Providing support during inventory counts at retail locations to ensure accurate inventory management Assisting in clearing the backlog of balance sheet reconciliations Making journal entries and assisting in the month-end close process Utilizing accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks Maintaining accurate account reconciliations and general ledger entries. Requirements Must possess strong proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations. Extensive knowledge and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. The candidate must have experience with Month End Close procedures. Familiarity and experience with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is highly desirable. The candidate should hold a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Prior experience in a similar role or senior accounting position is necessary. Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. The candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions. A high level of integrity, confidentiality, and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation is required. Strong time management and organizational skills are necessary. The candidate should have a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. The ability to adapt to new tools and software is required. Strong leadership and team management skills are desirable.
