JOB DESCRIPTION:
JAI has an immediate opening for a Composite Technician. This highly motivated individual will assemble, fabricate, and repair composite materials.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cut and lay out composite materials for fabrication
Prepare molds for layups
Assemble, fabricate, and repair products from composite parts and materials
Follow production work orders, engineering drawings, and blueprints to specifications
Weigh out resins and adhesives in secondary containers to the correct ratios
Drill, sand, and trim to drawing dimensions and tolerances
Prep product for paint
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND BACKGROUND:
Ability to work with basic shop tools and equipment used in composite lay-up and assembly
Keen attention to detail necessary, with ability to follow verbal and written direction
The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.
Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be willing to submit to and pass a background check
