DescriptionAmazon Advertising is one of Amazon's fastest growing businesses, responsible for defining and delivering advertising solutions that drive product discovery and sales. Our organization focuses on developing large scale self-service ad products that brands, large and small, can use to create more engaging connections with Amazon customers. We own a portfolio of ads products such as Rewarded Ads (RA) , Halfpipe, and Auto Showroom. RA is a fast-growing area within Amazon advertising. It works by rewarding consumers for taking high value actions e.g. watch targeted videos and buy a product on Amazon. It delights both consumers and advertisers as customers get rewards such as discounts or shopping credits and advertisers benefit from improved engagement and return on investment. Halfpipe is a tool which allows the creation of re-usable components for campaign landing pages. Auto Showroom is a bespoke product that can house videos, highlight vehicle features and link-outs to auto OEM or dealer sites.Key job responsibilities

Design automated processes for in-depth data analysis.

Design automated data control processes.

Collaborate with the software development team to build and test the designed solutions.

Learn, publish, analyze and improve management information dashboards, operational business metrics decks and key performance indicators.

Improve tools, processes, scale existing solutions, create new solutions as required based on stakeholder needs.

Perform campaign performance analysis and identify gaps & opportunities.

A day in the life

Deep dives into business datasets and campaign performance metrics.

Leverage techniques from computer science and statistics to measure advertiser/end customer experience.

Drive development of tools, reporting improvements, and automation, and create new innovative and insightful reports.

Support the functional teams with ad hoc data requests and analytical needs.

Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative/technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering)

6+ years of relevant experience in one of the following areas: Data engineering or business intelligence within a technology company.

4+ years of hands-on experience in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large datasets

3+ years of experience in scripting languages like Python, Bash etc

Experience in data modeling, ETL development, and Data warehousing Experience with SQL Server, Redshift, S3, EC2, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Advanced Degrees in Analytical, MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics

Experience in end to end projects involving complex data sets and high variability

Prior experience using OLAP technologies and BI Analytics.

Prior experience with one of those BI tools: OBIEE, SAP BW, Cognos, Business Objects, Hyperion, BPM, Tableau, Microstrategy, QuickSight

Experience with solving complex technical issues

The base pay for this position ranges from $104,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market.
