DescriptionBecome a key part of our Santa Monica Family Health Center! As a Sr. LVN, you will provide direct patient care for a diverse patient population in our primary care and multi-specialty outpatient clinic. You will work closely with physicians, medical students, advanced practice nurse students, residents, and fellows to ensure we are providing the best care to our patients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Administer medication and vaccines

Take vitals, obtain medical history, and complete tests

Perform EKGs, blood draws, and IV injections

Complete infection prevention duties

Lead teams of MAs, students, and trainees

Provide patients with education and appropriate referrals information to coordinate care

Respond to in-basket messages

Salary Range: $34.61-$45.66 HourlyQualificationsRequired:

Current LVN license issued by the State of California Board of Vocational Nursing Examiners with blood withdrawal and IV certification.

BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Ability to accurately perform and document vital signs and anthropometric measures.

Ability to perform phlebotomy, CPR, injections and other skills within scope of practice.

Competency in administering medications.

Ability to recognize abnormal vital signs.

Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and immediately report to the ordering providing and attending physician.

Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life threatening medical problems.

Embrace a humble and respectful attitude toward others' cultures and perspectives to fostering a supportive workplace and clinical environment.

Actively engage in promoting greater inclusion.

Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills and ability to use computerized patient care systems.

Preferred:

Bilingual Spanish/English.

Knowledge of cultural competency.
