Description We are in the search for a Tax Analyst to join our team in the Financial Services industry, located in Santa Monica, California. As a Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing tax returns, coordinating with portfolio companies, preparing estimated tax payments, and assisting with federal and state withholding obligations. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. (Hybrid onsite schedule)Responsibilities: Coordinate with service providers for the review of tax returns, K-1s, and PFIC productions for fund entities and special purposes vehicles Collaborate with portfolio companies and investment sponsors for the provision of tax estimates, K-1s, PFIC statements, and other tax information from investments Responsible for the preparation of estimated tax payments for SPVs Manage the coordination of tax identification numbers, IRS GIIN registration, and Cayman FATCA notification Prepare FATCA/CRS filing and reporting templates for funds and SPV entities Assist with the handling of federal and state withholding obligations of fund and SPV entities Contribute to the review of fund estimates for investors Prepare and update tax documents including Form W-9, W-8, and withholding statements Prepare 1099 and 1042 filings for funds and SPV entities Utilize various accounting software systemsRequirements Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of tax analysis. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. Expertise in using BlackLine, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax is preferred Must have experience in performing Accounting Functions. Must have an understanding of Compliance regulations within the financial service industry. Must have the ability to create clear and concise Documentation. Experience in handling K-1, Form 1099, and Partnership Returns is required.
