Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Bookkeeper to manage the financial records for our apartment complexes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and a thorough understanding of property management financials. This position offers flexibility, with options for part-time or full-time hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records for multiple apartment complexes
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for property expenses and revenues
- Process payroll for property staff and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Handle tenant inquiries regarding billing and payment issues
- Collaborate with property management to ensure financial goals are met
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in property management
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software (preferably Yardi, Entrada, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
