A small CPA firm is looking for a Senior Accountant (Full-time or Part-time)
A small CPA firm needs a senior accountant to review and finalize clients’ accounting and reconciliation work done by the staff accountants and to prepare or review the tax returns. Clients include individual, C Corp. S Corp, LLCs and not-for-profit organizations. Clients belong to various industries such as manufacturing and distribution, software development, legal, not-for-profit etc. This is an experienced position. Candidates with at least 3 years of experience with a CPA only need to apply. Candidate should be detail oriented and with good communication skills. This is a supervisory position and not a staff accountant position. Candidates without supervisory experience need not apply.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and finalize accounting data entry, reconciliation and monthly closing using QuickBooks.
Enter data and maintain general ledger and sub ledgers using QuickBooks as needed.
Review general ledger and find inaccurate entries entered by the client and correct them.
Review credit card statement items and reconcile.
Enter inventory adjustment JEs at the end of each month as needed.
Enter month-end closing and annual closing entries, review financial statements and finalize accounting on a timely manner.
Prepare or tax returns using Lacerte for individuals and all business types.
Do any other tasks as a senior accountant to maintain general ledger and other accounting and tax work.
EXPERIENCE
2 to 3 years of experience in working with CPA firms preferred.

Responsible and detail-oriented.
High Proficiency with QuickBooks is required.
Proficiency in MS EXCEL is required
Good working knowledge in accounting
Flexible time schedules.
BA/BS from accredited university or college
Able to work independently.
Must be able to drive and must have a dependable auto
