Touchstone Golf is excited to announce an exceptional career opportunity for qualified candidates to join as the General Manager of Pruneridge Golf Club.

Located in the heart of Silicon Valley in Santa Clara, Pruneridge Golf Club is a beloved nine-hole executive golf course, practice range, learning center, and restaurant. Opened in 1966, the course offers an enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels. The practice range features the renowned Visual Golf learning center, offering a wide range of private, group, and subscription-based lessons, along with the area’s premier custom clubfitting and repair services. The on-site restaurant, Aces Icehouse, has become a popular dining destination for both golfers and the local community, offering extensive indoor and outdoor seating.

The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the Club’s operations, including golf and instructional services, food and beverage, accounting, sales and marketing, and course maintenance. They will ensure the facility meets Touchstone Golf’s standards and adheres to its policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing fiscal, operational, and business development strategies, as well as establishing and maintaining high standards of quality and performance for all functions and team members.

Candidate Profile:

The candidate will have at least five years of experience in a management role of similar or greater capacity within a

commensurate golf courses.

Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to interact well with staff and guests. Strong work

ethic.

Qualified candidates have a 2 or 4 year degree with hospitality, business or management focus and/or requisite

certification from the PGA or America.

Demonstrated experience in the areas of budget development, fiscal management, strategic planning, staff

management.

Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision;

work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.

Must be an innovative thinker with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing service and business environment.

Possesses strong leadership skills including recruiting, developing and retaining quality department heads and staff.

Ability to identify core competencies in co-workers.

Skills required include a proficient level of Microsoft Office Word and Excel, point of sale systems and experience

with Club Caddie software or similar club based software.

Highly developed interpersonal communications skills. Demonstrated quality written and verbal skills. Positive

attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.

Detailed Duties:

A. Primary Responsibilities

1. Oversight of all activities at Pruneridge on a day to day basis.

2. Hiring, training, and ongoing support of the department head staff consisting of the course Superintendent,

Golf Professionals, Merchandise Manager/Clubfitting and Club Repair Specialists, Food and Beverage

leadership staff, Bookkeeper and other key staff members. Lead weekly department head meetings.

3. Oversee the hiring and training of all frontline staff members to ensure a superior level of guest service

throughout the facility.

4. With assistance and support from the department head team, create and implement systems to ensure consistent

execution of a first class experience on a day to day basis.

5. Provide appropriate leadership, direction, supervision, and guidance to staff in accord with Touchstone Golf

expectations and company culture to promote positive employee morale and performance quality.

B. Financial Management

1. Direct, coordinate and monitor the development of the facility’s annual business plan and operating/capital

budgets. Monitor and evaluate financial performance relative to budget goals and objectives. Analyze budget

variances, develop and implement action plans to achieve appropriate adjustments.

2. Oversight of ‘back of the house’ operational responsibilities including accounting, staff scheduling and payroll

management, and other administrative duties as required.

Reports to: Touchstone Golf VP of Operations, James Birchall

Supervises: Department Head Staff

Salary: Commensurate with experience and other daily fee facilities in Northern California
