Job Overview
The Operations Manager is responsible for managing daily operations and helping lead the next phase of Rapid Recycle's growth. This includes staff supervision, workflow management, financial oversight, compliance, customer service, relationship management, and identifying growth opportunities.
An essential part of the role will involve expanding the client base, strengthening existing relationships, and building new revenue streams. The ideal candidate has strong operational instincts, as well as the initiative and confidence to pursue new business, refine pricing strategy, and strengthen the company’s market presence.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all operational functions including daily yard, warehouse, and route operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met or exceeded.
- Work with administrative staff and accounting support to review financials, deposits, payroll, and costs.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Manage team performance by providing coaching, training, and ongoing feedback to foster a motivated and high-performing workforce.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation, accountability, and teamwork among staff.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse/production/facilities operations management or a similar leadership role within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively motivate teams and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable solutions.
- Experience in process optimization, project management, or business development is highly desirable.

Required
- 2-5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, recycling, waste services, construction, or similar fields
- Proven experience leading teams of approximately 8–12 employees
- Comfort working with basic financials and operational metrics
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Self-starter mindset with initiative to improve processes and pursue growth
- Ability to work on-site and remain hands-on in daily operations
Preferred
- Experience growing a small business or managing business development activities.
- Familiarity with recycling, scrap, waste management, or related industries
- QuickBooks or similar financial system experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
