One of Napa's favorite child care centers is growing and hiring for a new Director. Join a team of beloved teachers and a community of incredible families! Duties include (but are not strictly limited to) supervising and scheduling staff, developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, ordering classroom supplies and materials, maintaining required child and employee records, coordinating enrollment, communicating with families, and overseeing day-to-day health, safety, and operational matters. The Director may be involved in classroom activities from time to time as-needed. The Director is expected to lead the teaching team with consistency, exercise sound judgment, and maintain orderly and compliant operations. Please send your resume and a brief introductory email. The Director must meet California Title 22 Director qualification requirements, which may be satisfied through any one of the following most common pathways:
Possession of a valid Child Development Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing;
or a bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education, child development, or a related field that includes at least 12 semester units in early childhood education or child development, at least 3 semester units in administration or staff relations, and at least 2 years of experience teaching or supervising children in a licensed child care center;
or an associate degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field that includes at least 12 semester units in early childhood education or child development, at least 3 semester units in administration or staff relations, and at least 4 years of experience teaching or supervising children in a licensed child care center.
