World Of Words (WOW) Early Intervention Services is looking for a part-time Bilingual (Spanish) Early Intervention (EI) Teacher to help run our early intervention group classes, on Wednesdays & Thursdays from 3:15-6:00pm (or 1:45-6:00pm), as well as Saturdays from 12:15-3:00pm (or 8:45am-3:00pm).
As an EI Teacher, you will help run group classes at our Early Learning Center in San Francisco, together with the other EI Teacher/EI Assistants. You would also help with preparation & clean-up before/after classes, as well as help with planning activities (e.g., creating art activities) for the classes.
At World Of Words (WOW) Early Intervention Services, parents and their children under age 3 participate in classes designed to help young children learn through play. Classes consist of play-based learning activities, songs, arts & crafts, and more. Our classes provide early intervention activities that target all areas of development communication, motor, cognition, social-emotional, and adaptive behavior.
Job qualifications:
Bilingual – fluent in Spanish & English
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (e.g., Psychology, Child Development, Communicative Disorders, Special Education)
Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education preferred
Experience working with young children preferred
Experience working with families and/or parents preferred
Other job requirements:
Must be able to obtain Fingerprint Clearance
Must possess or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification
