Job Description:
Preference for a cook with experience in catering, making sandwiches who has strong production skills, experience with taking inventory and pastry and/or baking a plus. A personal vehicle with clean record or delivery experience as well as looking for long-term employment. The position includes working with the team to slice all meats and vegetables for sandwiches, prepping all ingredients for our sauces and other catering items, cleaning and sanitizing stations and equipment, and making deli-style sandwiches to order.
Must be available to commit to mornings and early afternoons.

Most WEEKENDS OFF! (Its rare we get a catering order on the Weekend)
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for working in conjunction with the kitchen manager and catering assistant on all aspects of production for the cafe.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with the accurate and expeditious production of recipes with strict adherence to all recipe specifications with minimal waste during all phases of recipe preparation, production and service.
Prepares sauces, soups, salad items, sandwiches and baked items.
Performs tasks related to but not limited to: organizing the coolers, freezers properly storing deliveries and following security and sanitation guidelines.
Properly packages, stores and secures all food items at all stages of receipt or preparation with relation to temperature, location, labeling, packaging and all established procedures.
Assists in the maintenance of proper inventory of station pars on prep list and ordering appropriately.
Assists other team members as needed or directed by Kitchen and Catering manager.
Any and all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Basic to Intermediate level of culinary skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
Ability to read, write, understand, execute and communicate effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to show a high level of service responsiveness to customers.
Must display a high level of energy and self-motivation.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights and occasional weekends.
Regular work requires a great deal of standing, lifting, bending and stretching.
Must be able to stand for eight (8) hours or more during a shift.
Must be able to lift and transport up to 50 pounds.
Ability to withstand high ambient temperatures while working in close proximity to cooking equipment.
Basic mathematics.

Anyone that has worked in a kitchen understands how much drama and toxicity there can be and how often there's an expectation to just deal with it. That isn’t the case here.
No late night shifts!

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
