Assistant Manager / Banquet Manager
We are looking for an assistant restaurant/banquet manager to help work with our crew and take care of our guests. We are an independently owned restaurant operating for 27 years in downtown Walnut Creek. We require a minimum of 3 years of upscale casual or fine dining experience. Previous management experience is preferred but not required. This job involves predominantly day shifts. We are closed on Sundays. We are looking for someone who would like to make a commitment to a long-term opportunity.
To be considered you must be a team player, professional, customer service focused, energetic and friendly, with an outgoing personality and a good sense of humor. You must have a serious interest in food, wine, cocktails and most importantly hospitality. Your wine, food and cocktail knowledge should be better than average. While it’s not a requirement, being familiar with Yelp Reservations or OpenTable would be helpful. Previous banquet booking experience would be helpful, but also not required. Must be able to work with MS Word and Excel. You would be running the dining room for lunch and booking our private events. Mostly you should enjoy the hospitality business and enjoy working with people.
