The Chez Panisse pastry team is looking for a full-time pastry cook with 3-5 years of restaurant pastry experience. We are in search of someone with a working knowledge of seasonal fruits. Our kitchen is a fast paced, changing environment where we follow the seasons closely and have a daily changing menu.
This position requires experience with making a variety of fruit-based desserts including galettes, cakes, ice creams and sorbets, cookies, custards, and various pastry doughs. We are looking for a cook who is dedicated to making desserts with excellent quality and attention while maintaining focus on time management. This is not an entry level position, we are seeking a candidate that will bring experience to our team. Experience with plating desserts is a plus.
Candidate must be willing to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
