Donato & Co. is an upscale Italian restaurant in Berkeley’s Elmwood district. We serve contemporary takes on regional dishes, exclusively Italian wines, and modern cocktails. Entering our ninth year, we have established ourselves as a neighborhood favorite as well as a destination ristorante.
We are looking to add 1 - 2 bartenders to our staff each for 2 - 4 evening shifts per week; positions available immediately.
Compensation will depend on your experience and the depth of your role with us.
Obviously, a history with Italian wine and spirits will be considered a major asset, but we are happy to train-up otherwise qualified candidates. Ours is a full-service bar and bartenders are expected to gain full working knowledge of our points of service and menu offerings.
-Bartender Minimum Responsibilities-
Pour wine and arrange cocktails as ordered.
Maintain a clean and well-stocked bar environment.
Ensure all bar patrons are accommodated- answer questions, take orders, serve food and beverages.
-Bartender Minimum Requirements-
21 years of age.
2 years of craft cocktail bartending experience.
Ability to stand 4-5 hours.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Food/Beverage safe handling certifications.
Punctuality and presentability.
-Bartender Compensation-
$20 - 25 per hour (depending on experience / responsibilities) + tips.
