Join Our Team as Line Cook – Work with a Creative and Collaborative Culinary Team
About the Position
Line cooks at Horsefeather are responsible for executing menu items to spec while maintaining station cleanliness, proper food handling, and a calm, communicative presence on the line. The right candidate is dependable, focused, and committed to working as part of a tight-knit team during service.
Key Responsibilities
Execute dishes according to standardized recipes and plating guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned station before, during, and after service.
Support the team by prepping necessary items and replenishing mise en place.
Communicate with team members and expo to ensure accurate and timely ticket execution.
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in all aspects of kitchen operations.
Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing storage when needed.
Participate in end-of-shift breakdown, cleaning, and closing duties.

Minimum Requirements
1–2 years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
Solid knife skills and understanding of cooking techniques.
Familiarity with kitchen sanitation practices and ServSafe guidelines.
Ability to follow recipes and instructions with precision.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
California Food Handler’s Card required.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
