Hi Neighbor Hospitality (The Vault Steakhouse, The Vault Garden, Trestle, MAMA Oakland, The Madrigal, Jack and Remi Ice Cream and 7 Adams) is seeking a General Manager to join our team at MAMA Oakland.

The General Manager position is a salary position, $80-90K, 50 hours a week (5 days a week with 2 days off in a row).

This role includes overseeing and directing the daily restaurant operations, staffing (including but not limited to hiring and training), maintaining policies and standards, and harmonizing the team around the restaurant's mission and values. This individual should lead the team to create a positive and productive working environment, while always being focused on creating and fostering the hospitality experience for all guests.

Requirements/Characteristics:

A hard-working team player that values and leads with honesty and integrity

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with Executive Chef, Sous Chef and Hi Neighbor Corporate management team

Ability to work quickly and efficiently, must be technologically saavy, proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word); In Design and Square POS experience is a plus

Experience working in a fast-paced dining environment

Passion for hospitality and must possess a strong food and wine knowledge, particularly Italian wines

Flexible schedule - dinner service only - must be able to work late

5+ years prior management/leadership experience, the full capability of participating in all roles of the front-of-house (host, server, food runner, sommelier)

Must be able to carry boxes and lift up to 50lbs

Must have or be able to obtain all necessary certifications including - RBS Training, Sexual Harassment Certification, Manager Food Handlers Certification.
