We are opening a large, high-energy, family-friendly beer garden and pizzeria in Santa Rosa and are looking for an Executive Chef to lead our kitchen from concept to launch to ongoing execution.

This is a rare opportunity to help build a flagship restaurant from the ground up — with a menu centered on exceptional pizza, supported by a tight, elevated menu of apps, salads, and desserts designed for high volume and consistency.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Kitchen Management

Oversee all BOH operations for a large-format, high-volume restaurant

Build, hire, and train the entire kitchen team (AM + PM)

Create and maintain systems for prep, production, sanitation, consistency, and service flow

Develop a positive, professional, collaborative kitchen culture

Menu Development & Food Quality

Lead recipe development for pizzas, appetizers, and desserts

Ensure consistent dough program execution (hydration, fermentation, portioning)

Create scalable, efficient prep systems for a high-volume environment

Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and execution standards

Operational Excellence

Manage COGS, inventory, ordering, vendor relationships

Create and maintain thorough SOPs and training materials

Partner closely with the GM and ownership on weekly financials and menu engineering

Ensure all health, safety, and compliance standards are met at all times

Collaboration & Vision

Work with ownership on brand identity, seasonal updates, and special menus

Support a family-friendly, community-driven environment

Help design an efficient kitchen layout and workflow during buildout (if timing applies)

Who You Are

5+ years in a leadership chef role (Exec Chef, CDC, or high-volume Sous Chef)

Strong background in pizza production (wood-fired, New York, Detroit, artisan, or similar)

Experience with high-volume production in a scratch kitchen

Strong leadership and communication skills

Comfortable creating systems, training teams, and leading a culture

Highly organized, clean, efficient, and quality-driven

Creative, collaborative, and excited about building something new
