Job: Prep / Line Cook

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and reliable prep / line cook to join our team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, preparing meats, and making sauces.
Cooking: Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized work area, following health and safety guidelines.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory and ordering
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to the supervisor.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
Cleaning Checklist: Adhere to and complete the daily cleaning checklist tasks.
Order Management: Unpack and store incoming orders.
Dish Washing: Assist with washing dishes as needed.
Training: Help new hires acclimate to the kitchen environment and processes. Provide guidance to prep cooks and cooks as needed.
Tasting and Adjusting: Taste sauces, soups, and dressings; make adjustments as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of kitchen experience.
Experience with food ordering and kitchen organization preferred.
Catering experience is a plus.
Must be willing to work 40 hours per week, with potential for overtime during busy periods.
Reliable transportation to and from work
Ability to work weekends periodically when needed.
Must be a team player and support the overall kitchen culture.

Schedule and Reliability:
Reliability is imperative for this position. You must be available Monday-Friday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm. If you are not a morning person, this may not be the right position for you.
