ACRE Kitchen & Bar – Host Needed (Rockridge, Oakland)
Acre Kitchen & Bar on College Ave is a busy, upscale-casual neighborhood restaurant looking for a friendly, polished, and dependable Host to join our team.
What We’re Looking For:
Warm, welcoming personality with a constant smile
Calm, professional, and able to multitask under pressure
Strong communication skills; phone etiquette; guest-first mindset
Ability to manage OpenTable, seating flow, take reservations, and handle delivery orders
Team-oriented, organized, and reliable
Responsibilities:
Greet and seat guests; manage waitlist and accurate wait times
Maintain host stand, menus, and seating charts
Answer phones and guest inquiries courteously
Support managers with reservations, guest notes, and service flow
Assist with menu updates and side work
Maintain professionalism and a clean workspace at all times
Requirements:
Ability to stand/walk for long periods and go up/down stairs
Lift up to 50 lbs; bend/stoop as needed
OpenTable experience a plus
Bilingual Spanish a bonus (not required)
