As a Dental Assistant specializing in pediatric and young adult dentistry, you will play a vital role in supporting our dentists and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with dental procedures, managing patient records, and providing excellent customer service to both children and young adults. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Utilize dental software systems, including Dentrix, for record keeping .
Operate X-ray machine
Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth office operations.
Qualifications:
X-ray license needed
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical records management is essential.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software systems is highly desirable.
Understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance is required.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently under pressure.
Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant training is a plus.
