Shimizu Family & Cosmetic Dentistry has an immediate need for an energetic, passionate and reliable Part Time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our practice. We are seeking an experienced RDH who is an exceptional communicator, enjoys learning and advancing skills, has a genuine passion for the dental field and is a dynamic team player.
Salary: $62 - $65 per hour depending on experience
Part-Time | 3 day per week | Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday | 8am – 5pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Education - Educate the patient on oral hygiene, health, disease, dental procedures and services. Establish and communicate importance of continuing care.
Clinical Care - Patient screening procedures such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, dental and periodontal charting and taking blood pressure and pulse.
Apply preventative materials to the teeth such as sealants and fluorides. Be proficient with hand scaling, root planning and ultrasonic.
Be efficient with time management and stay on schedule as much as possible.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment and operatory.
Take digital X-rays.
Hygiene room and tray set ups.
Treatment planning, charting and notes in Dentrix.
Communicate effectively with team and patients.
Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance.
Ensure compliance with all OSHA, Dental Board and other Environmental Agencies.
Stock supplies in hygiene operatory as needed.
Other job-related tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Current California RDH license.
Working knowledge of dental equipment and terminology, OSHA and safety compliance.
Dentrix software knowledge is a plus.
Working knowledge of Invisalign is a plus.
Experience using iTero scanner is a plus.
