I am looking for one caregiver while my husband and I take a much needed respite vacation for 5-7 days - 24 hour shifts. We would like to take a vacation in May. Ideally we would hire someone one day a week fulltime so you learn her daily routine and once you feel comfortable we would go on vacation. My Mom who suffered a Double Brain Aneurysm at 56, she is now 67
My Mom was wheelchair bound for 5+ years and non-verbal for 3.7 years. My husband and I moved her in with us 10 years ago and have nursed her back to health. We have been taking care of her without help since the pandemic and we are now ready for a much needed break.
She is now walking with a cane/caregiver for gait support and talking! She needs help with all ADL’s but can assist with direction and motivation.
She needs help with showering, toileting (she is incontinent and in briefs), meal prep, walking 1-2 miles daily, stretching/weights, board or card games for brain activity.
She has come a long way and we are so proud of her.
Must be local SF, Peninsula, covid vaccine, booster, car, and flu shot. FEMALES ONLY.
