Career Opportunity: Irrigation Technician

General Duties:
Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems, sprinkler heads, hose lines, valves, piping, controllers, and related parts.
Perform periodic irrigation system inspections of all sites. Inspections include logging current watering schedule and related irrigation system items that need repair.
Troubleshoot sprinklers, underground lines, valves, and controls.
Read water meters, set timers and monitor watering schedules.
Keep records of labor time and materials, and help to prepare bid estimates.
Operate trencher and other power equipment as required.
Follow appropriate safety precautions and procedures, and participate in required trainings
Respond to emergency situations regarding broken valves, pipes, and others; resolve immediate safety concerns (some overtime / weekend work required).
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the installation and maintenance of commercial irrigation systems
Current driver’s license with good driving record. Must be insurable by our insurance carrier.
Bilingual, with ability to read work orders in English.
Ability to work regular physical labor outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
