Job summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and plant-loving individual to join our team as an Interior Plant Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for the health and aesthetic maintenance of a variety of indoor plants at client locations on a recurring schedule. The ideal candidate has a passion and knowledge of interior plants, excellent customer service skills, and can work independently to manage their route.
Key responsibilities
Maintain plant health: Water, prune, clean, and fertilize a diverse range of plants and greenery.
Perform pest and disease control: Identify and treat pest problems and remove dead or unhealthy foliage.
Install and replace plants: Assist with new plant installations and replace plants as needed to maintain high-quality displays.
Provide client service: Interact professionally with clients and building management to address concerns and ensure client satisfaction.
Manage daily route: Travel to various client sites throughout the East Bay area, completing tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
Maintain tools and equipment: Ensure all tools, equipment, and company vehicles are kept clean and in good working order.
Maintain accurate records: complete daily logs of plant care activities, including watering schedules, treatment applications and time tracking.
Skills and qualifications
Experience: Prior experience in horticulture, plant care, landscaping, or a related field is preferred. We are willing to train candidates with a strong interest in plants to fine tune your skills.
Plant knowledge: A basic knowledge of plants and indoor plant care techniques is a required.
Physical ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, kneel, and work from a ladder.
Independent worker: The ability to work efficiently and reliably
Valid driver’s license: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
Reliable transportation: Must have reliable transportation to get yourself to our office, where your day will begin. Vehicle reimbursement and/or a company vehicle will be provided.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
