General contractor in Hayward seeks a lead carpenter to join our growing team.
Responsibilities include the following:
1. Reading plans/specs and understanding the scope of work.
2. Perform all carpentry tasks with the highest quality of craftsmanship in the time allotted. Lead a team of junior carpenters and laborers to successfully complete tasks assigned.
3. Keep project managers informed of the entire project scope including revisions, change orders or
changes to the scope of work and the schedule.
4. Responsible for jobsite safety, cleanliness, security and protection from the elements.
5. Ability to understand and follow building/safety codes.
6. Ability to perform both rough and finish carpentry is a plus.
7. Projects are primarily commercial (i.e. tenant improvements, demo, etc.)
Qualifications:
1. Strong communication skills
2. Valid drivers license
3. Clear background check
4. Strong time management and leadership skills
5. Commercial construction experience is required
