The Oakland Asian Cultural Center is seeking to hire an Onācall, Contract position for an event's set up and break down crew.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work scheduled hours at OACC and provide event set-up under the direction of OACC staff.
Set-up and teardown of the meeting and event rooms as directed.
Proper care, movement, storage of all equipment such as tables, chairs, and linens etc.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EXPECTATIONS
Be reasonably available to accept on-call shifts.
Maintain current contact information with supervisor, including phone, email, text, etc.
Be reliable, once a shift is accepted show up and complete the shift.
Attend to work responsibilities while on duty.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals from various backgrounds and disciplines.
Ability to be timely, dependable, and reliable in attendance.
Ability to prioritize quickly under pressure and demonstrate good judgment during emergent and/or crisis situations with a minimum of close supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Required to sit, stand, walk including up and down stairs, and communicate with other employees while performing duties
Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
Occasionally job duties will include the need to kneel and bend or lean over.
Salary, Benefits and Terms
Shift: Variable from 1-4 hours per day
Reports To: Facilities & Rentals Manager
Salary: $25 per hour
