Description
The Warehouse/Inventory clerk is responsible for a variety of important tasks including receiving warehouse inventory items and placing them into stock within the warehouse. Accurate record keeping and tracking are essential functions of the position. Knowledge of computers and inventory software is helpful.

Days off Saturday and Sunday
Some overtime required
Ability to adjust days off for end-of-the-month inventory counts

This warehouse inventory clerk provides support to installation technicians by distributing materials for installations.
This position works primarily independently, and within a team environment. Failure to effectively manage the company’s product inventory could impact the company’s revenues and customer service relationship with external clients. This is a somewhat complex position requiring knowledge of the company’s telecom equipment and service needs as it relates to the plumbing industry. Position performs multiple tasks within an ever-evolving environment. Extensive internal contact with all levels of employees and external contact with co technical teams is of utmost importance.
Responsibilities & Tasks Include but may not be limited to:
Manage warehouse & inventory, ensuring compliance with all warehouse processes and procedures. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all inventory transactions.
Responsible for inventory accuracy that will include fleet vehicles and warehouse.
Responsible for managing inventory management database, including the receipt, recording, and distribution of all purchased materials.
Work closely with purchasing department.
Ensure all warehousing and inventory control objectives are met, including inventory turn ratios, on-hand accuracy, lowering inventory valuation, and management of obsolete inventory.
Manages and serves as a company liaison with freight companies and carriers.
Work with installation technicians, occasionally working as an assistant to the field technicians when needed. Typically delivering job equipment to the job site from the warehouse.
Utilize system reports to support optimum stock level.
Provide inventory information to Management team.
Assure cycle counts are completed timely and accurately and conduct monthly physical inventories.
Manage all warranty items through corporate office and suppliers.
Arranges and schedules vehicle maintenance for company fleet with local repair shops.
Implement cost savings practices throughout all areas of the warehouse.
Develop and implement warehouse efficiency practices while operating with the understanding of the company’s vision for expansion.
Requirements
Previous warehouse, inventory control, materials, and/or field distribution experience with a specialization in inventory controls and systems or equivalent in education, training, and/or experience.
Experience in the plumbing industry is a plus.
Experience and/or training which demonstrates skill in providing work direction and establishing priorities of multiple team members.
Ability to work independently, troubleshoot and perform corrective procedures, and meet inflexible commitment deadlines.
Proficiency computer skills including spreadsheet, word-processing, and database software skills.
Experience that demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability managing multiple priorities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 75lbs. and stand for long periods of time
