Art School of SF Bay is looking for an after school art teacher to teach at nearby South Bay elementary schools:
We are looking for artists and experience working with young children.
Training, lesson plans, and instructional materials are provided.
Passion of Manga is a plus.
We are collective of artists, believing in the importance of artistic education for young minds.
We have developed this program over many years of teaching classes and camps.
You will:
- Pick up materials from one of our studios.
- Drive to the schools that have signed up for our art program.
- Roll the bag on wheels to the classroom, set up art materials needed for class at each students’ table.
- Collect the students from the waiting area and bring them to the classroom.
- Do a quick presentation about the today’s topic.
- Constantly check on students’ progress, encourage and help them.
- Make sure that they finish the project.
- Bring them back to the waiting area or /and hand them to the parents.
Crucial qualities:
- Kindness
- Fluency in realistic drawing and painting
- Punctuality & time management skills
- Polite and positive communication skills
- Desire to share your love to art with kids
This gig is impossible without a car, please do not apply hoping to use public transportation.
$50 per hour.
2-5 days a week
2-3 hours a day, afternoon
Gas is paid by school.
