JACO Machine Works is an AS9100 certified machine shop supporting the medical, aerospace and semiconductor industries. We are in immediate need of a CNC milling machinist for our growing operation. This position is for first shift with overtime available who can:

Perform setups and operation of horizontal, vertical and 5-axis CNC machining centers.

Retrieve machine programs from database, create/read tool lists for job.

Accurately set tools and work offsets. Change tooling as needed to restore operation.

Ensure produced parts meet drawing specifications with standard inspection instruments.

Able to troubleshoot and perform basic edits of G-code to solve problems.

Read CMM reports and adjust machine offsets as needed.

Follow work instructions and communicate with Supervisor.

Train machine operators on any job that you set up.

Deburring of parts when needed.

Perform basic machine maintenance.

Keep work area clean and organized.

Required Job Skills:

Must be organized and accurate with documentation.

Familiarity with Fanuc and Mitsubishi or similar controls.

Must have good knowledge of machine processes of manufacturing and problem-solving skills to ensure strict quality/dimensional and cosmetic standards.

Able to work with tight tolerances like +/-.0002”

Must have a strong work ethic and work well with others.

Must have good knowledge of G and M codes.

Must be knowledgeable with GD&T.

Desired Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.

5-10 years' experience as a CNC machine operator or setup

Experience with Matsuura, Makino, Kitamura or Ganesh milling equipment.

CAD/CAM experience a plus

Experience with Jobboss shop software a plus.

Background in AS9100 work environment.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide measurement units, common fractions, and decimals. Working in and converting metric/imperial units.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer use. Working with Word/Notepads, Excel, and logging in to databases, etc.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
