You must have a CA Real Estate License to apply to for this position. This is an entry level position to learn and become a commercial real estate Property Manager.

The primary responsibility of this Assistant Property Manager/Tenant Services Coordinator position is to be the initial point of for contact for commercial and residential tenants seeking maintenance & repair services, and other questions related to the landlord/tenant property management relationship. As a trainee, you will be learning lease interpretation, tenant management, contractor & vendor management, and service request accounting processing. You will be assigned to be the support person for a Property Manager team, and learn overall third-party property manager duties and functions for both commercial and residential properties.

Property Managers are involved in all aspects of day-to-day operations of properties, including accounting, tenant relations, maintenance and repair, security, janitorial services, landscaping, snow removal, etc. The Assistant Property Manager handles tenant complaints and service requests, and must be familiar with the terms of tenant leases.

Your day to day responsibilities will include being the primary point of contact for tenants contacting our property management company for maintenance and repair service requests; assisting the Property Managers with creating service requests in the management system; Contacting vendors in coordination with the Property Managers; Following up with tenants and vendors tracking completion of the service requests; and processing all invoices related to service requests through the Property Managers to the Company accounting department. This position will also be assigned other property management tasks in support of their assigned Property Managers team

A successful candidate will need the following qualifications:

Possession of a valid California real estate license (salesperson or broker)

Some knowledge of the maintenance and construction industry terminology

An outgoing and positive personality with the ability to deal with difficult situations

Exceptional communication and organizational skills

Good follow-up habits and time management

Detail oriented and accurate, especially with numbers and math functions

Customer service experience

Ability to work under pressure

Self-motivated and self-directed

Ability to assert oneself

Ability to work with staff in solving problems

Ability to take direction and function as part of a team.
