Now Hiring: Experienced Concrete Former / Rebar Installer (Santa Cruz County)
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable concrete professional to join a small, fast-paced construction team in the Santa Cruz County area.
Position: Concrete Former & Rebar Installer
Type: Full-time (lead role)
Responsibilities Include:
Building and setting concrete forms for retaining walls, foundations, footings, and slabs
Installing rebar accurately and efficiently, including tying and constructing rebar cages/forms
Reading and interpreting blueprints independently
Working closely with a small crew to ensure projects stay on schedule
Leading the concrete preparation process on job sites
Preferred Skills:
Concrete finishing experience (not required, but a major plus)
Strong problem-solving and layout skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Requirements:
Reliable transportation
Experience with forming systems, rebar installation, and blueprint reading
Strong work ethic and a positive, team-focused attitude
