Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Most important is being a team player, listening to instructions and a willingness to learn and improve. You would primarily be working in the following areas: San Mateo County, Santa Clara County, San Jose, and East Bay.
Responsibilities
Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction tasks. You will get experience with the following trades: carpentry (building forms), concrete (excavation, laser grading, mixing and pouring, and rebar), fencing (chain link fencing), operating a track loader/skid steer, court surfacing, lighting, and drainage.
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment necessary for construction projects.
Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing debris and hazardous materials.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Operate basic hand tools and power tools as needed under supervision.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications
Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred but not required. Completion of an apprenticeship is a plus.
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and standing for long periods.
Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Must be able to pass any required background checks or drug screenings as part of the hiring process.
