Status: Full-time, non-exempt
Hours: 40 hours Mon-Fri overtime available as needed (Part Time negotiable)
Compensation: $25-30 Likely, possibly more DOE. (90 Day Probationary DOE)
Reporting to: Production / Product Manager
Location: San Francisco, California.
The Role:
Fyrn is hiring a Production Furniture Maker for the production of our table collections to join our team in San Francisco, Ca.
The Production Furniture Maker will be trained in all aspects of our processes related to building our table lines. This will include cutting, drilling, and sanding of wood components, product finishing, assembly, and shipping. The Production Furniture Maker needs to have great hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, be able to handle daily physical effort, and be okay with repetitive tasks. This position requires the ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day. The Production Furniture Maker is a safety sensitive position.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Produce Fyrn’s table collections
Wearing proper PPE
Selecting / sorting wood
Cutting, shaping, drilling, sanding and wood finishing
Assembly, packaging and shipping
Maintain efficiency standards with a constant focus on productivity improvements.
Address housekeeping issues at the moment.
Organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Requirements:
You’ve worked with solid wood for more than 3 years
You have experience building wood furniture
You have a good understanding of most woodworking tools
You are not afraid of working hard and repetitive tasks
