Los Osos Pet Hospital is looking for motivated individuals to fill our Receptionist and Veterinary Assistant positions. Applicants must be interested in working with animals, quick to learn new skills, and able to work independently. Previous experience is not required but is a plus.
Full-time Assistant and Receptionist must be available Monday-Friday.
The positions will be available immediately.

This is a physical job and includes, but is not limited to, the duties listed below. Each area of these duties may include a notable amount of physical activity, lifting items and animals, and restraining animals in the facility.
Receptionist responsibilities include, but are not limited to: scheduling appointments, answering and management of multiple phone lines, setting up new clients and patients, preparation and maintenance of medical records, admitting and discharging patients, over the counter product sales, mailings, computer operation and maintenance, financial transactions, filing, and front office and reception area upkeep.
Veterinary Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting doctor during exams/procedures, assisting with technician appointments, prepping and monitoring patients for treatments and/or surgeries, day-to-day hospital tasks, as well as excellent customer service. A positive attitude is a must for this position.
Inventory: Unpacking, labeling, and stocking of all hospital supplies and diets.
