Under general supervision of owner/management, perform a wide variety of grounds and landscape maintenance work; janitorial duties; and complete other related projects, as requested. 2-3 days per week (approximately 15-20 hours/week).
During harvest (mid-August to mid-November), work will be F/T with long, varying hours. Tasks will involve hands on experience in all aspects of wine production.
COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Harmony Cellars was one of the first 20 wineries established in the Paso Robles AVA. Founded in 1989 by Chuck and Kim Mulligan, the winery has grown from a 2,000-case micro winery to a 7,500-case boutique production facility. The winery and tasting room are located in the rolling hills off HWY 1 in Northern San Luis Obispo County.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
-Care for and maintain common areas including irrigation, mowing, weeding and fertilization of lawns;
-Clean and sanitization of all areas (facility and equipment);
-Uphold all SOPs for equipment operations and sanitary practices;
-Perform specific horticultural needs such as pruning and special watering;
-Apply pesticides, herbicides, and other garden substances to control weeds/pests;
-Check for safety hazards; report, remove, and/or repair as required;
-Pick up and dispose of litter and trash;
-Perform heavy physical labor (e.g., weed whipping, digging, pruning, punch-downs, etc.);
-Repairing small equipment;
-Janitorial duties including mopping, vacuuming, cleaning lavatories, etc.;
-Painting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Understand and carry out oral and written directions;
-Willingness to work when needed, including weekends/holidays, during harvest;
-Lift and/or carry 50 pounds;
-Stand for extended periods of time;
-Work at heights;
-Ascend and descend ladder.
LICENSES:
-Possession of a current California Driver's License, required.
