Self Storage Position (Los Osos and Morro Bay sites)

Compensation: Start at $19-26/hour (depending on prior self-storage experience).

Employment type: full-time. We plan to interview candidates with self-storage experience first (1-2 years self-storage experience preferred).

Looking for a full-time candidate to support two sites (Los Osos office and sister property in Morro Bay). Training would begin immediately at our location in Grover Beach for 1-2 weeks prior to working at the Los Osos office. This position is for five days per week 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with a one hour lunch. The job includes travel to the sister property in Morro Bay. Self Storage experience preferred. Vehicle and current insurance required (must have vehicle to run bank and post office errands).

Schedule is as follows:

SuperStorage Los Osos office location Monday-Friday (driving to Morro Bay daily with a .50/mile reimbursement from the office to Morro Bay and back)

Days off would be Saturdays and Sundays

General skills needed are basic "people" and sales skills, Windows based software ability, math, and accounting, clerical and janitorial skills. The job is a little bit property manager, a little bit customer service rep, a little bit bill collector, A LOT of janitorial, a little bit maintenance person, a little bit rental agent and A LOT of hustle. The work includes renting units, filling out rental agreements, entering transactions into the computer, collecting rent, posting rent, making bank deposits, answering incoming phone calls, "selling/closing" rentals on the phone and in person, selling merchandise like boxes and moving supplies, stocking inventory, mailing invoices and late notices, making collection calls, heavy janitorial (sweeping drive aisles and units, trash collection, brushing cobwebs), light maintenance, sweeping out vacated units and picking up trash. The job may require bank runs and office supply purchase, which requires current insurance and a valid driver's license.

This IS NOT a relaxed job. You will be moving or doing something all day, every day. It is an active and demanding position with the possibility for growth.
