This is an in-office position with the possibility of hybrid remote work after training.
What You'll Do:
Lead, mentor, and guide a team of CAD drafters.
Oversee the creation and delivery of accurate 2D and 3D drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication documents.
Coordinate with engineers & project managers to ensure designs meet specifications and project timelines.
Develop and enforce drafting standards, workflows, and quality control processes.
Maintain detail library and drafting templates.
Stay updated on industry trends and integrate best practices and new technologies into the drafting process.
Manage workload distribution, prioritize projects, and ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.
The ideal candidate has:
Extensive experience with AutoCAD (experience with SolidWorks, Fusion or Revit is a plus).
Strong knowledge of construction drawings, architectural detailing, and manufacturing processes.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing drafting teams or coordinating design projects.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interface with team members and clients.
A degree in drafting/design, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience (5+ years preferred).
