Large farming operation west of Stockton is looking for an experienced mechanic. The ideal candidate for this position has strong communication/writing skills and a vast understanding of agriculture & farming equipment maintenance/repair practices.
Our operations mainly focusses around the following equipment -
Backhoes Scrapers Agriculture Tractors Crawler type tractors Excavators
Skids steers Siphons/Pumps Vehicles Water Vessels
TYPICAL DUTIES -
Inspect equipment to determine needed repairs; prepare work orders.
Coordinates maintenance/repair scheduling of equipment with general manager.
Maintain records and prepare reports.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Order and manage inventory of maintenance supplies.
Collaborate with outside vendors as needed.
REQUIREMENTS -
Possess a vast understanding of agriculture equipment & farming maintenance/repair practices.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
