We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team! Technicians will performing diagnostic trouble shooting and repairs including but not limited to cooling system, electronics, air systems, engine, transmission, clutch, steering, brake and wheel, hydraulic systems, seals, differentials, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to troubleshoot issues and ensure vehicle in proper operating condition.

Perform routine and preventative maintenance services.

Identify worn and damaged parts (all parts to include major components such as engines and transmissions), repairing, adjusting, or replacing as needed.

Trouble shooting with diagnostic software – charging systems, brakes, suspensions, A/C systemVerify vehicle performance by adjusting controls and systems.

Maintain truck records by annotating services and repairs.

Maintain safe and organized work area; keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance, and calling for repairs.

Follow all state and federal vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards; follow company policies, procedures, and safety and EPA regulations. Must use all safety equipment necessary for the job.

Maintain current knowledge of job and technical skills by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical and regulation publications.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

18 years of age.

3-5 years of experience in Semi-Tractor maintenance and repair and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Previous experience as a mechanic/automotive acceptable

Knowledge of shop equipment

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Deadline and detail-oriented

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Attendance reliability is a must

Skill/Ability: Attention to detail and willingness to work, perform a variety of mechanical repairs or preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and equipment using a variety of power and hand tools; establish and maintain effective working relationship/s with co-workers and suppliers; and maintain California driver’s license applicable to job responsibilities and good driving record.
