Job Title: Manufacturing Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Electrical Maintenance Technician is required to install, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic components on various production machinery and equipment as well as electrical infrastructure. Responsibilities include: Complying with all legislated and relevant laws and regulations for safety and quality including lockout tag out, GMP, HACCP, Allergen, and company-specific policies and procedures.

Maintaining work area and equipment, ensuring clean, sanitary, and orderly conditions, and applying 5S principles. Reporting any defective materials, missing, or damaged tools to the supervisor.

Completing any required reports or paperwork such as production data sheets, order documentation.

Performing electrical tasks including, but not limited to, running new wire, bending conduit, installing switches and other components, running electronic tests, cleaning contacts or circuit boards, and replacing worn components.

Assembling, installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring and equipment. Ensuring compliance with applicable codes.

Providing emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production; diagnosing malfunctioning systems, locating the cause of the breakdown, and repairing it.

Performing mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines. Reporting equipment parts usage from stock to ensure accurate inventory; notifying department supervisor of any parts and supplies needing to be ordered.

Conserving maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish the job. Documenting all work to ensure accurate maintenance records, ensuring production operation is aware of the status of equipment, and improving overall communication between shifts.Hard Skills

Electrically inclined

5+ years of relevant experience in maintenance in manufacturing

Controls specialty for troubleshooting and repair

Familiarity with VDF (variable frequency drive) and PLC (programmable logic controller)

Experience performing maintenance on manufacturing machinery and facilities

GMP experience

Electrical controls experience (troubleshooting, repairs, etc.)

Job TypeThis is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 1400 Hour(s).Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Union City, California.Work EnvironmentFood Manufacturing Environment (Think Chocolate Factory). Hot (105°) and Cold (68°) Environment. One side of the facility is hot (manufacturing operation); the other is cold (chocolate cooling/packaging operation).Safety Quality Hygiene Requirements

Ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order; reporting any defective materials, missing, or damaged tools to supervisor.

Complying with all legislated and relevant laws and regulations for safety and quality including lockout tag out, GMP’s, HACCP, Allergen, and company-specific policies and procedures.

Must wear uniform, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, safety gear specific to work activity, when on plant floor.

Available Shifts

2nd Shift: 2pm- 10pm Sun-Thurs (1 opening) and Sat (1 opening)

3rd Shift: 10pm- 6am Sat (1 opening)
