California)Off-Premise FocusFunction: CommercialLevel: L6Location: Field Based – San Francisco, CAContext/Scope:The Market Specialist with an Off-Premise focus is responsible for driving sales growth and brand presence in off-premise venues including independent liquor stores, convenience, and other retail outfits. This role involves developing strong relationships with venue owners and managers, executing promotional activities, and ensuring effective merchandising of Diageo Non-Alcohol brands (DNAB).Financial/People Leadership:The Market Specialists do not have direct reports although manage distributor accountability.Accountabilities:· Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets in off-premise channels.· Identify opportunities to increase product distribution and visibility in key accounts.· Execute sales plans that align with overall brand objectives with distributor management partnership.· Plan and execute activities to drive consumer awareness and education.· Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets for their respective local market.· Build relationships with other Diageo commercial stakeholders to ensure connectivity and opportunities to amplify presence in all retail outlets.· Conduct market analysis to identify trends & opportunities growth by preparing regular reports on campaign performance, market trends, and competitor activities.· Ensure compliance all relevant regulations/company policies all off-premise activities by maintaining accurate records/documentation related off-premise activations/results.Qualifications and Experience Required· Ability to engage, influence and coordinate wholesalers and distributors.· Self-starter with strong ability to influence with data and fact-based selling strategies. Expertise in various POS data including IRI and Chain-Related Category Data.· 3+ Years working in sales or trade management; off-premise expertise and focus highly preferred.· Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives with excellent time management skills; ability prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.Lean in to our “dial up behaviors” and core values
